Electrician

This is a rare opportunity to secure a long-term public sector career. You will begin on a 3-month initial contract ($56.95/hr) to get settled into the site, before transitioning into a permanent staff position ($90k Base). This role offers a strong financial package and prioritises your lifestyle with a structured 9-day fortnight roster.

The Work

This is a general maintenance role within a Facilities Management team. You won't be dealing with heavy industrial complexity; instead, you will focus on the day-to-day upkeep of a government campus to keep the facility running smoothly.

• General building light and power maintenance.

• Routine testing and tagging and RCD testing.

• Basic fault finding and repairs to lighting and power circuits.

• Swapping out ballasts, drivers, and general electrical fittings.

• Scheduled emergency light testing and basic repairs.

• Assisting the broader trades team with general facility upkeep as required.

What You Need

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Electrician who takes pride in maintaining high-standard public infrastructure.

• Trade Qualified: Cert III in Electrotechnology.

• Licensing: Valid QLD Electrical Work Licence (A-Grade).

• Safety: Current LVR/CPR (First Aid is highly regarded).

• Compliance: Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.

• Health: Must provide Hep B records (the client will cover costs for any other site-required vaccinations).

• Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
